2025 Presentation Evening

Taroona High School has a long and proud history of achievement in the realms of academia,
sport, music and citizenship. Each year, many of our students show great commitment and
determination to achieve and contribute to the best of their ability, thus enriching school life for
students, staff and our local community. Our end of year awards ceremony is a night where we
pay tribute to those students who have demonstrated excellence in:
• Learning
• Citizenship
• Teamwork and Leadership
• Sports
• Arts and Music
Families are invited to attend the evening to celebrate our students’ successes and experience a
selection of music and art that showcases some of what makes our students stand out amongst
the crowd.

The Awards Criteria booklet is aimed to inform students, families and community members of all the awards
available to them, outlining the criteria for each prize and how students are nominated for and
awarded prizes.

How to nominate:
There is a range of different awards for categories including learning, citizenship, teamwork,
leadership, sports, arts and music. Some of these awards are decided by student results across
their subjects, while others are open for nomination by staff, students and community members.
How each award is decided is listed with the description of the award.
We have set-up a nomination system via Microsoft Forms for people to nominate students for
awards. If you would like to nominate someone, the link is available on our school website.

How to donate:
We are eternally grateful to all the businesses, members of government and individuals who have
donated and continue to donate prizes for this celebration of achievement. If you have not
previously made a donation and would like to, please email taroona.high@decyp.tas.gov.au or
phone the school office on 6227 7700 with the following details:
• Who you are/your business
• The sum or item you would like to donate
During the evening, all donors are named when the prizes are presented and are listed in the
Presentation Evening Program.
